MYRTLE BEACH – The Myrtle Beach Pelicans began their series against the Wilmington Blue Rocks with a 4-1 defeat. Ryan Kellogg, from Whitby, ON, started as opening pitcher fresh from his stint with the Canadian National Team, which took the silver medal at the Pan-Am Games. Blue Rocks Pitchers Tad Radcliffe and Scott Mitchell made five strike-outs.
